An ambient guitar riff, hypnotic and straightforward, sets the mood with ease for this emo-rap-kissed yet rhythmically engaging new track “Ruin” from Mark Royal.
Mark Royal is an upcoming artist based in the United States. He makes Emo Rap / Rock / R&B / Hip-Hop style music. “Ruin” is originally part of the “Everything’s Slower at 2 is” mixtape released on (08/01/20).
Starts with mellow guitar parts, Ruin flows through a rock style percussion and various computerized synths. About a minute later, it progresses to a hard rock part that wakes up the listener from slow music euphoria. Again the rhythm goes back to its first mellow state with mellow music. The pattern continues throughout the song with deep, straightforward, and confident vocals.
Undoubtedly unique, that’s for sure – a recognizable voice and a musicality that leans in its own direction. It will be interesting to hear where else the music takes things in the near future.
