The single started as a Jam and swiftly became a complex puzzle of pieces and transitions mixed nicely. Two Hundred Days is an expression of improvisation in life and how things can go up and down, fast and slow.
Behause is a musical project created by Jose Figueredo. He entirely produces it, and all the songs are original, recorded, mixed, and mastered by him. The idea behind this project is to express himself, all the things that he can’t say with words, and it’s open to anyone’s understanding. All the songs are instrumental.
Music has always been there for him. Every moment of his life has its own soundtrack, a song, band, or album that makes him relive what he was, what he felt, and what he was experiencing at that moment. It was always a genuine desire for rebellion, expression, reflection, and at the same time, silence.
And it is there, in the silence, where Behause arises. Behause is a project that seeks to end the silence. Behause is a window to let flow what words cannot express.
Made in an archaic, independent, and solitary way.
Where to even begin is constantly the hard part; this album sets out to calm an anxious soul from the main note of the very first song. Two Hundred Days is stunning, it’s a beautiful and warming concept in itself, and the music never sways away from this. The track opens the project up with a naturally minimalist and straightforward style, and it’s just attractive. Superbly impressive; you can press play, set to reprise even, and the whole draining of the day fades away into a stupor. An extraordinary feat and precisely the kind of thing great music should do.
Two Hundred Days is a great release, a memorable creation of music from a superbly talented artist. Well worth experiencing, and more than worth keeping an eye on for live shows or appearances.
