“Get to High Ground” by Joshua Prost was released on YouTube hoping for a hit in the Rock genre.
Joshua Prost is a songwriter and musician based in Boston. He was into music since his childhood as his uncle Rick Clayton played in a band called Willow. At the age of 10, his buddy got an electric guitar and taught him Crazy Train. His passion for playing the guitars started on that day.
Joshua started his career as a Rythem Guitarist but found his true talents when he explored Bass. He played in cover and original bands/projects in the Boston scene since the early 2000s, including Common Senseless, Numba9ne, and Octavate. He’s also the host of a Boston radio show called Harmonic Headspace.
With the experience of writing and collaborating with musicians all over the country, he has started a rock-based project called “Jack Prost Band”. With this project, he creates grunge, rock, power pop, and alternative music. The songs are all written and played by Joshua and produced and engineered by Scott Glorioso.
“Get to the High Ground” has deep, expressive and relevant lyrics that make the listeners feel the euphoria of rock music. The song expresses the politics and money that corrupt people and society. He is helpless and can not tell his kids about the disaster we are about to face, and he says, “Can’t tell our kids, what can we say?”.
