There’s a pretty stunning sense of development throughoutPulsedriver ’s latest release “Talla 2XLC Remix.”, not least of all due to the journey implied by the title. This feeling of moving and progressing is strong, but structurally, in terms of the song writing – the crafting of the composition itself – this is quite unlike any of the artist’s previous releases.

One of the biggest dance hits of 2000 is back with the uplifting remix that really deserves as Talla 2XLC stays true to the incredible energy of the original and turn it into a huge full on hands in the air euphoric trance anthem for the modern floors. Banging bass, thumping kicks and superb layers of colorful synths playing underneath the solid foundation that drives the track forward till the very inspiring breakdown. The vocal will bring shivers to all the old tranceheads and will touch the new generation of trance followers. It’s captivating to listen to, and adding the effect is the artist’s creative and ever changing flow; again always feeding into that tripped up beat and the ups and downs within the instrumentation. When things are calm, the flow is calm, and vice versa.
The musical backdrop to this track is actually far more of an inherent part of the expression than simply a beat behind the song. The artist’s ideas and the music go hand in hand. The instrumentation has a joyful brightness and bounce to it, taking a touch of electronic and a fair few hits of classic hip-hop and even EDM, the ambiance is as eclectic as it is energetic. The vocal parts that follow it along add to the intensity and pace of the music brilliantly, always keeping the flow on point, always adjusting to the surrounding rhythm and the underlying mood.
Structurally there’s a lot to appreciate about the song. The variety of influence is showcased by means of these unstoppable snippets of different genres, and it’s amplified further by the changes in pace, the fall away to the mellow, the rise back up to the manic, the switch from the dance to the melody, the numerous drops featured throughout. The creativity is limitless, and yet as stated originally – the thread is there, the realness remains, and that leading vocal has a certain character and style that undoubtedly makes itself familiar.
