Kay Frank$ is Hip Hop recording artist, poet, songwriter, vocalist, actor, sound engineer, photographer, and producer from PG County Maryland originally born in North Carolina. Kay Frank$ has performed throughout the United States perfecting his craft. “I Can’t” is one of the amazing tracks by this awesome soul to all the audience out there.

Kay Frank$ is self-motivated and relies on no one but himself and a small circle. At age of 16, he began learning the art of mixing and mastering whilst continuing the craft of freestyle song making. However, despite this Kay Frank$ did not start writing and producing compositions until later, Frank$ is also in college to pursue a computer engineering and sound engineering degree. Along the way, he also picked up other trades through his travels and encounters in the DMV area.

For artists who are just getting started, regardless of genre, one of the most important elements to have mastered and embedded in your approach is passion. Kay Frank$ exudes passion and drive with every word he performs, from the moment the music begins. What’s great about this particular track is that it has that passion, it has that optimism and that determination, but it also has this superb musical introduction – that oriental style riff really rattles around in your head, and so everything that follows essentially wraps this blanket of music around you further. It’s a simple thing, but hugely effective, and it fuses so well with the vocal style and the melody; the result is this somewhat dark-sounding yet stylish, slick, and highly motivated expression of thought.

The playful nature in which these instruments and effects have been worked with gives this song a wonderfully accessible and warm sound. You’re attracted to the lyrics, above all else perhaps – those words and that melody reel you in. This whole thing is attractive and has this entirely unique element to it that is inescapably compelling.
