Rising from Buffalo, NY, a symbol says one name… Alex Anonny. From writing rhymes & studying classics like “Illmatic,” “ATLiens,” “Stakes Is High,” “The Score,” “Doe or Die,” young Anonny dipped himself into the culture of Hip Hop. With his love of superhero comics, anime, & video games, Alex began to create his sound after a 5-year gap. The soundscape is modest, a little familiar, a beat, and a synth evolution tying to guide things along. Elsewhere it’s Alex Anonny ft Jae Skeese drawing you in, building a scene, and laying out the grounds of the story.
The peg resolves in an equally simple way. It cleverly invites the interest from the broader hip hop community for that ease and anthem-like recognisability. In between these moments, though, a varied flow and increasing pace meet with compelling, poetic, and personal lyrics to elevate the whole thing. Nicely done.
