Diogenes was born & raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Since his small days, hip-hop music was his passion. Artists like NWA, Nas & the Wu-Tang Clan were his hip hop heroes. Hip Hop label Acuta Record was the start of this amazing artist’s career as Dio Gin way back in 2001.
There he formed the group Pangea Pham and they performed all over the city. Around 2009 he started to focus more on solo music and started making his own songs.
His passion and dedication helped him to be named as ‘Best Live Performance’ at New York City’s Underground Hip Hop Awards. Over the years he released many mixtapes and quietly built a loyal fan base who loved his unique style and the smooth vibe of his songs. In early 2017, Dio would join Pangea group member, Cube Ref & local producer DNA to form ‘Put It On The List Entertainment’.
The rhythm of the vocals and the descending yet simple riffs in the backdrop help give East Coast Kings that anthem-like, a mighty vibe that you just know would stand tall at a live show. Diogenes relies upon the strength of his own voice, of his own bars, and his ability to perform in a rhythmically entrancing manner, and this works greatly in favor of making the track hit hard and be memorable.
