Maxstacy delivers some traditional good vibes on this new single, driving with delicate and soothing instrumentals that are partly organic, partially fresh, and rhythmic enough to fit well in today’s musical scene.

Furthermore, the vocal performances throughout “Gun in My Hand” are equally serene, quietly confident, and more than engaging, providing something undeniably refreshing and straightforward to get into.

An uplifting and melodic backdrop, decidedly and purposely nostalgic, evocative of the nineties, meets a colorful and somewhat classic hip hop mood, creating perfectly those beach-side vibes and the rhythmic acceptance aimed to get you feeling good and ready to go.

For fans of hip hop and organic music alike, the soundscape for this disc is instantly appealing. It has a quick, fascinating quality to it; the rhythm pulls you, and the sound is new for the soulful loops and trip-hop-inspired vibe.

At the same time, music like this has an antique feel to it, and the rap delivery on top of it adds to that natural connection to the genre’s beginning.

As a result of this, the ear is pulled to the snicket and crunchy rhythm and, of course, to the Maxstacy vocal. In the case of lyrics, there’s a multitude of them available for viewing. In addition to using a lot of reverb and delay, the singer’s arrangement is filled with lots of ebb and flow, which is akin to the action of waves lapping against a shore. It has a rich and elegant appearance across the entire piece.

Maxstacy’s “Gun in My Hand” is becoming more likable and distinctive with each subsequent appearance. And this is due to a combination of all of these factors. So far this year, this has been my personal favorite from the category.
