SANCTUARY by CRAWL

CRAWL mixes synthetic rhythms with gritty, fractured EDM for an explosively unsettling “SANCTUARY” that is barely six minutes long yet radically immersive in its comprehensive, encompassing sound design and rapidly addicting drive.

CRAWL’s experimental compositions and evocative soundtracks set him apart from the crowd of generic electronic performers. He’s a world-traveling musician with a sound that transcends genre. He’s been diligently perfecting his art since launching his career in 2015, crafting a style that’s as thought-provoking as it is danceable.

He pours his heart and soul through every song he creates. As a result, he is one of the few artists who can create a genuine emotional connection with his audience. CRAWL is well on its way to becoming a mainstay in electronic music, with new tracks due in 2021 and beyond.

The layers fall into place, a sense of building anticipation rises and swells, and the vocal achieves its softly impassioned heights to create room for the euphoric ambiance that follows. The click of a rhythm evolves to see everything brighten up and energize.

“SANCTUARY” feels like a classic alternative EDM single from a more specific period, with surprising melodic electronic music with a solid dance core and an edge of intimate intimacy and affection. The hook, in particular, has an addicting familiarity to it, and it resolves nicely after the grit and fuzz of the verses that precede it.

Despite its pleasing arrangement, the familiarity of the synths, and the lyrical simplicity, the tune also possesses a number of distinct characteristics for a contemporary vibe.

The voice is part of it, and it’s more approachable than most EDM releases — a pleasant dance music treat. The set-up and details are something else entirely, being both soulful and industrial at the same time, and all of it is delicate, immaculate, and stunning.

“SANCTUARY” is a great place to go for escapism and hope, as well as a bit of brightness, right when we need it. Enjoy.
